Our recovery program at Shanti Home includes physical activity. Increasing endorphins – the body’s “feel good” chemicals that act as pain relievers and happiness boosters – causes a general positive feeling, helps reduce the urge to use and reduces the urge to use.

A physical therapist tailors every session to a particular client based on factors such as age, medical history, past injuries, state of health, stage of treatment, and passion for a particular sport.

 

We offer yoga classes, gym sessions such as cardio, aerobics & weightlifting, swimming and aquatic exercises as well as pilates.

A range of wellness therapies are available during your stay at Shanti Home as part of the transformational process, designed to refresh and balance your body and mind for a sense of overall wellbeing.

 

Participants are guided by certified trainers who draw up the holistic programmes in consultation with experienced practitioners. There are several activities in practice, including Yoga, with its mental and physical benefits; Mindfulness Meditation, which awakens the inner consciousness and inculcates discipline; and Creative Arts Therapy, which opens new channels of communication and stimulates the imagination.
